Drona must be one of the most derivative films ever made. Every facet, from the characters’ back-story to the structural underpinnings is unoriginal and borrowed. The producers might have spent huge monies to get the costumes and sets in place, not to forget the special effects, which are very, very good. But what is the use of special effects and good costumes if there is no script?
Abhishek can’t play out and out action roles as his physique has limitations but his looks are well worked on. Priyanka plays the body guard and looks athletic and actually is a ’surprise package’ to some extent. K K does fairly well. Jaya did extremely well in a guest appearance. Music is not that great and this type of movies need good screenplay as ‘The Mummy’ which has a good screenplay and mind blowing visuals.
